The Food Bank of Madrid is mainly managed by volunteers, although it also has a reduced number of hired employees in order to ensure that certain positions are covered every day during the Bank's full hours of operation. Volunteers and recruits build up a single multidisciplinary team.
Currently more than 380 people, most of them retired or pre-retired, contribute with their professional experience to manage, in the most efficient way possible, the food collection, storage and delivery chain to the Beneficiary Entities. The average time dedication of a volunteer is 3 days a week, 4 hours per day in the morning.

Colaboran en trabajos puntuales, como son las Operaciones Kilo que se realizan en centros comerciales en fines de semana y acciones especiales. Esta colaboración consiste en realizar un turno de 4 horas en un punto concreto.
